We are pleased to announce the fully seamless 3D CFD simulation workflow for rotary positive displacement machines using TwinMesh™ and Siemens Simcenter STAR-CCM+.
TwinMesh™ automatically generates high quality hexahedral grids for the moving parts of pd machines. The automated export of all meshes and a ready-to-run setup for Simcenter STAR-CCM+ allow the immediate start of a simulation using all the physics available, i.e. turbulence and cavitation.
This seamless simulation approach gives detailed insights into the internal flow properties of pd machines, i.e. clearance flows, and allows for improving machine efficiency, faster development cycles and innovative new designs.
